Can I Apostille documents in Ireland, if I live abroad?
What is an Apostille?
The Apostille treaty was originally drafted by the Hague Convention of October 5th 1961, which was abolishing the requirement of legalisation for foreign public documents. An Apostille stamp certifies a document issued in one signatory country for legal purposes, so as to be used in another signatory country. It is an international certification that is compared to notarisation in domestic law; it usually accompanies a local notarisation document.

How long does it take to Apostille my document?
Standard Irish documents such as Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Death Certificates and CRO Certificates take only 1-2 working days to Apostille.
If a document requires notarisation, embassy legalisation, certified translation and / or other additional preparation, depending on the case, it might take longer. In any case, we will do our best to prepare your document as soon as possible.
Can I Apostille documents in Ireland, if I live abroad?
If you currently live abroad and need to Apostille any Irish document, you can simply post the original document by courier to our office. We will Apostille your document and post it back to you.

Notary Public certification
